Riverside Legal Aid
Riverside Legal Aid is non-profit organization established in 1982 to provide free legal services to those who cannot afford an attorney, particularly in the following areas:
- family law (divorce, child support and visitation, restraining orders, paternity and child custody)
- evictions and housing problems
- debtor/creditor collection cases
- Federal District Court civil cases
Volunteer attorneys provide the free services in various clinics operated by Riverside Legal Aid or on a direct representation basis, depending on the type of services you are seeking.
Call or walk in between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to find out if you are eligible for services.
Legal services are free for qualified individuals.
Applicants for Riverside Legal Aid services must live in Riverside County or have a case in a Riverside County Court. Those whose income meets established financial guidelines are eligible. Once you have been approved, there will be no charge for your legal services as long as you are financially eligible.
If you qualify and your legal problem is one in which Riverside Legal Aid offers legal services, you will be given an appointment.

Self-represented people in the Bankruptcy and Federal District Courts can get free help at the self-help clinic located in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on a first-come-first-served, walk-in basis. There is no income requirement and no charge for services.
